Perfect Pie Pastry

This simple pie pastry recipe won't disappoint. Use it for sweet and savoury dishes alike. 

 5 cups white flour
 1 tsp baking powder
 ½ tsp salt
 1 lb lard (I use Tenderflake)
 1 cup cold water
 1 tbsp vinegar

Mix cold water and vinegar and set aside.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Using a pastry blender or two knives, add lard to the flour mixture working it in until the size of peas.

Gradually add the cold water mixture stirring with a fork to moisten.

Using your hands bring the mixture together to form a ball.

Divide into 4 pieces.

Roll to line pie plates or wrap and freeze for future use.
