Are You Ready To Forgive?
Do any of these emotions feel familiar?
Resentment, blame, and anger.
Guilt, regret, and shame.
If so, you’re not alone. We all experience a range of complicated emotions when we feel hurt by someone else’s actions or deeply regret our own.
But what happens when we hold on to negative feelings and the circumstances that triggered them?
The impacts can be devastating:
- We’re robbed of personal power and happiness.
- We get stuck in a cycle of negativity that influences our outlook.
- We adversely affect our mental, physical, and emotional health.
- We live in the past and miss today’s beauty.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
You can free yourself from overwhelming anger, bitterness, shame, and regret, by learning to forgive.
Forgiveness is about YOU. It’s about letting go of what happened in the past so you can find peace in the present moment.
When you forgive others, and yourself, you become open to a new way of living.
Forgiveness helps you:
- Accept and release the past.
- Feel empowered and free.
- Feel healthy and energized.
- Feel peaceful and calm.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean you agree with what happened to you, or with something you may have done. You may never seek reconciliation with anyone else involved
But what it does mean is that you release the negative power that certain circumstances have over you.
And that’s a positive step on the road towards lasting peace.
